• The story: We didn’t know we needed a sequel to Sandwich until the news of its release hit our inboxes, and boy are we overjoyed. Our Skimm Reads editors read this book at the tail end of the summer, and while it’s hard to describe what actually happens, we did find Newman’s chapters and vignettes heartwarming, gripping, and enjoyable to read. Just like the first book, it follows Rocky and her hilariously sweet family in a coming-of-age perspective.
